Our annual visit to St Augustine’s Church in Snave, on Romeny Marsh, takes place on Saturday, 22nd September 2018.
There will be a Missa Cantata at 12 noon, celebrated by Fr Marcus Holden (Rector of St Augustine’s Shrine, Ramsgate) with music from The Victoria Consort, under the direction of Ben Bevan.
Music will include Missa Salve Regina, Palestrina and Ave Verum Corpus by Byrd.
This will be the fourth year running that Mass has been celebrated at St Augustine's, with kind permission of The Romney Marsh Historic Churches Trust, who are entrusted with the care of this, now redundant, church.
Founded in 1982, The Trust looks after 14 medieval churches and 2 ruins on the Romney Marsh in Kent.
