St Joseph's, Aldershot

Fr Anthony Glaysher, formerly parish priest of St Mary’s, Ryde on the Isle of Wight, has taken up the position of parish priest in Aldershot. With immediate effect, Fr Glaysher will celebrate Mass in the Extraordinary Form every Sunday at 9am in St Joseph's, Queens Road, Aldershot GU11 3JB.

We wish Fr Glaysher well in his new parish, prayer for him and his parish Deacons and urge people to support this Mass in Aldershot wherever possible.

Timothy Fawcett, RIP

Tim Fawcett, sometime Latin Mass Society Local Representative and Committee member, died on 28th September. Please pray for him, and his family.

He was an indefatigable supporter of the Chartres Pilgrimage; in particular he did a lot of carrying the banner of the British Chapter, of Our Lady of Walsingham. He was a gentleman, a Catholic, and a true pilgrim.

New FSSP Apostolate in Bedford

For the past 2 or 3 years, a number of priests have kindly celebrated Mass according to the vetus ordo on Sundays at Christ the King Church, Bedford. With the arrival of a third priest to the FSSP's house in Reading, the blessing of the Bishop of Northampton and the generous support of the Parish Priest, Fr Patrick Hutton, the Reading-based priests of the FSSP are taking these Masses at Christ the King Church under their care, commencing Sunday 8th October.

Sizergh Castle Chapel, Sizergh

Friday 15th September (Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary)

 

Fr Daniel Etienne will celebrate a Low Mass at 7pm.  Refreshments afterwards.

Sizergh, near Kendal, LA8 8DZ.  Follow the driveway, and continue ahead instead of left into the car park.

Follow the roadway along and park in the courtyard in front of the Castle.

The chapel is upstairs in the south wing, on the right

St Margaret’s Convent Chapel, Canning Town

On Sunday, 17th September, Fr Stewart Foster will celebrate High Mass in the Convent Chapel on the occasion of his Silver Jubilee of ordination to the Sacred Priesthood.

Music, supplied by Cantores Missae under the direction of Charles Finch, will include:
Missa Brevis, Andrea Gabrieli
Ave Maria, Francisco Guerrero
Salve Regina, Chant or Polyphony

There is a Sung Mass every Sunday in the Convent Chapel at 6pm but to mark this special occasion it will be a High Mass on 17th September.

Autumn 2017 edition of Mass of Ages

Members should be receiving their copy of the latest edition of Mass of Ages this week. Copies will be available this weekend in more than 110 cathedrals and churches around the country.
