Salve Sancta Parens CD
Sebastiano da Fabriano, Giovanni Perluigi da Palestrina and Pedro Perianez
MIssa Salve Sancta Parens is taken from Sebastiano da Fabriano's only other documented work, Liber primus missarum, published in 1593, and decicated to the then superior general of the Camaldolese order, Simeoni Perusino.
The books contain 4 masses on Marian themes, all modelled on chant paraphrases. Missa Regina caeli, Missa Ave Regina and Missa Alma Redemptoris are scored for 5 vioces, 3 of which survive. As the only 6 voice Mass, Missa Salve Parens is a little easier to reconstruct.

The Victoria Consort is a professional consort made up of singers from Kent. In tandem with editor Francis Bevan they specialise in bringing lost musical gems of the renaissance back to life. Often this is in the context of the Traditional Latin Mass. They are Artists in Residence at St Andrews in Tenterden and have performed in France and Belgium as well as UK venues. Since 2018 their principal conductor has been Benjamin Bevan.
