
Cardinal Burke & Bishop Schneider to address LMS Conference on Faith and Culture

As the Catholic Church looks forward to a new chapter in its history with the election of Pope Leo XIV, this one-day conference will explore the enduring relationship between faith and culture, and their continuing role in shaping contemporary society. The conference will bring together leading figures from the Church, the arts, and public life to explore how the timeless truths of Catholic tradition can shape and elevate the cultural landscape of our time.
The confrence fee includes lunch and refreshments. The conference will conclude with Solemn Vespers and Benediction of the Holy Cross in the Little Oratory.

In the evening there will be a dinner to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the Latin Mass Society. Details of the dinner and how to book places will be posted here in due course.

His Eminence Raymond Cardinal Burke
An American cardinal and former Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura, Cardinal Burke is internationally recognised for his firm defence of Catholic tradition, moral teaching, and the traditional Latin Mass. Cardinal Burke will join the conference via video link.
The Rt Rev Dr Athanasius Schneider
Auxiliary Bishop of Astana, Bishop Schneider is a well known voice on liturgical theology and the importance of doctrinal continuity within the Church.
James Gillick
A British painter working in the classical realist tradition, James Gillick is celebrated for his religious and portrait works, created using historical techniques and materials that honour the Catholic artistic heritage.
Dr Joseph Shaw
Chairman of the Latin Mass Society and a philosopher, Dr Shaw is a prominent commentator on the liturgy and Catholic intellectual tradition.
The Rev Christopher Basden
