Pocket Shrine Kit - Sacred Heart

Make a pocket shrine, a modern equivalent of the portable altars carried by our Catholic predecessors during both World Wars. Folded size is approx 8.5cm x 13cm. Kit includes a printed image (either Sacred Heart or Madonna & Child) and prayer printed on cotton, wadding, calico, damask, ring rosary and picture medals, length of narrow ribbon, bias binding, snap fasteners, needles and sewing thread. You will also need fabric scissors, pins, a chalk marker or similar, and a ruler. A sewing machine is optional.

This kit contains the image of the Sacred Heart.

Produced by the Guild of St Clare, an association of Catholic needleworkers which promotes traditional needlecraft, both for liturgical vestments and in a domestic context.
