Saint John Henry Newman

In this section you will find books by and about St John Henry Newman (1801-1890). An Anglican clergyman, Newman was received into the Catholic Church in 1845, was ordained and, in 1879, created a Cardinal by Pope Leo XIII. Newman's beatification was officially proclaimed by Pope Benedict XVI on 19 September 2010 during his visit to the United Kingdom. He was canonisation by Pope Francis on 13 October 2019.
