AGM and High Mass report

Members of the Latin Mass Society gathered in Westminster Cathedral Hall on Saturday for the AGM. Reports were given by the Chairman, Dr Joseph Shaw (who, in the absence of David Forster, also delivered the Treasurer’s report) and Secretary, Kevin Jones. The guest speaker was the Rt Rev. Mgr Gordon Read, LMS National Chaplain.

After a buffet lunch, many others joined us in the Cathedral for High Mass. The Celebrant was Mgr Read, the Deacon was Fr Mark Higgins and the Subdeacon was Fr Mark Elliott Smith. Fr John Scott, of the College of Chaplains, sat in choir. The excellent serving team was led by Richard Pickett and Charles Bradshaw.

Music, sung by members of the Cathedral Choir, included Rheinberger in E flat, under the direction of Michael Butterfield.
