LMS Walsingham Pilgrimage

Our Blessed Lady appeared to Richeldis de Faverches in 1061, aksing her to build a Holy House modelled on the home of the Holy Family at Nazareth.  Walsingham is a place focused on the great mysetery of Nazareth - the Annunciation - and the 'hidden life' of Christ with Our Lady and St Joseph.  It is a spiritual home for all Christians and the LMS returns on pilgrimage each year.

The Walsingham pilgrimage is inspired by our medieval predecessors, the contemporary Chartres Pilgrimage, and similar events around the world today. You can take part in our 59 mile walking pilgrimage from Ely to Walsingham or join at Walsingham for a day pilgrimage. Each day will have High Mass, devotions, chants, hymns and songs, to honour Our Lady of Walsingham and pray for the conversion of England.  The final day concludes with High Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham and a Solemn Procession to the sight of the medieval shrine in Walsingham.

In 2023, 200 pilgrims took part in the three day walking pilgrimage, joining a congregation of 400 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.
