Ordinary Prayers of the Traditional Latin Mass
We are delighted to announce the publication of our Ordinary Prayers of the Traditional Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form or Vetus Ordo), Benediction, Angelus and other prayers and devotions.
The purpose of this booklet, compiled by Joseph Shaw, is to assist the Faithful to follow the Traditional Latin Mass as they are likely to find it celebrated in England and Wales today. The text of the Mass, in Latin and English, is accompanied by line illustrations by Stefano Mazzeo.
Texts of the Order of Benediction, and The Angelus - in Latin and English - are also included, as are Prayers for Communion.
13 pages of Chant music, include the Asperges and Vidi Aquam; Mass XI (Orbis Factor) and XVII; Credo I; Marian anthems and the Litany of Loreto.
This booklet strives to be in conformity with the Order of Mass as authorised in 1962, the Manual of Prayers authorised by the English Hierarchy in 1953, and the Ritus Servandus of 1954. The English translation of the Ordinary Prayers of the Mass has been newly prepared for this booklet, and follows the Douai-Rheims Bible, as revised by Bishop Challoner, where applicable.
