Walking pilgrimage from Ely to Walsingham - Thursday 21 August to Sunday 24 August 2025
The pilgrimage will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend, starting on Thursday 21 August with registration, an evening meal and overnight camping (indoor option for ladies) at Ely Tigers Rugby Club, Downham Road, Ely CB6 2SH.

- High Mass (TLM) in the traditional Roman Rite each day
- Accompanied by priests, seminarians and religious
- Specially created, re-usable Pilgrim’s Handbook with Mass texts, prayers, devotions, chants, and hymns for the road
- Breakfast and evening meals created by our dedicated cooking team
- Support vehicles accompanying the Pilgrimage to carry heavy baggage and collect tired pilgrims
On the second and third nights there will be overnight camping (indoor options for ladies) at Stoke Ferry and Great Massingham.
On Sunday 24 August there will be a traditional Latin High Mass at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham at 2 pm followed by a procession to the site of the medieval shrine. Some pilgrims arrange to stay overnight in Walsingham and attend a traditional Latin Mass at the Slipper Chapel on the Monday morning.
This year the pilgrimage will be accompanied by a relic of the True Cross, as part of the Latin Mass Society's Holy Cross Pilgrimage.
The principal intention of the Walsingham Pilgrimage is to pray for the Conversion of England. Additional petitions can be left here and will be carried during the pilgrimage.

Priests and deacons wishing to excercise their ministries during the pilgrimage are asked to present a celebret or a testimonial to the shrine at least two weeks before the pilgrimage. See the shrine website for details.
Pilgrim's Handbook (Vademecum Peregrini)
We have specially created a re-usable Handbook with Mass texts, prayers, devotions, chants, and hymns for the road.
All pilgrims will be issued with one at the time of the pilgrimage, but you may wish to buy the 2024 edition and have it delivered to your home in advance if you want to look at it ahead of the pilgrimage. It is available direct from the LMS shop click here
