Booking for the London closes on Monday 19th August
The Walsingham Day Pilgrimage will be on Sunday, 25th August 2024. It will join the final High Mass of the LMS National Walking Pilgrimage, with pilgrims arriving on foot from Ely and further afield.
An open air High Mass of Our Lady will be held at the National Shrine and Basilica of Our Lady of Walsingham at 3.00 pm and this will be followed by a procession to the site of the medieval shrine in Walsingham village and Devotions to Our Lady.
Anyonne is welcome to join this without booking.
There will be a coach departing from Westminster Cathedral in London for which booking is required. The programme for this is as follows:
09.15: Coach departs Ambrosden Avenue, road adjacent to Westminster Cathedral
12.15: approx: Coach arrives RC National Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham – free time for lunch and visit to Shrine of Our Lady at the Slipper Chapel
15.00: Open air High Mass of Our Lady (indoors option, if raining)
16.30: approx: Procession along Holy Mile to Priory Ruins
17.10: approx: Devotions to Our Lady at Priory Ruins
17.45: Coach departs Walsingham Coach Park
20.45: Coach arrives Ambrosden Avenue, Westminster Cathedral
There is a café at the National Shrine which will serve food from about 1.00 pm (after the Shrine’s Midday Mass ends). You may prefer to bring a picnic lunch and you may also wish to bring refreshments for the way home.
Please note, if you intend taking young children, it is your responsibility to ensure any appropriate safety seat is provided and fitted in the coach. Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
