For the more intrepid pilgrim, there are additional options to walk from London or Cambridge, joining the main pilgrimage at Ely. These options are only recommended for seasoned walkers as there is limited support for pilgrims wishing to drop out. The longest day's walk is 24.4 miles. For more information, please see London and Cambridge Routes


(Parking is available at Ely Tigers Rigby Club or the RC Shrine at Walsingham – you will need to choose which car park and provide a car registration number further on in the form below)




All pilgrims must have a copy; a new edition has been issued for 2025 and it will not be possible to use an older edition. See the information for Pilgrims booklet section 1.6

Important Information

Children participating in the walking pilgrimage must be 12 years old or over. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Those who are 16 or 17 must be accompanied on the pilgrimage by a responsible adult.
